Google Unveils Adsense Revenue Share
Monday and for the first time in 6 years, Google has revealed share of the advertising revenue on Adsense Blog Service.
We thus learn that Google pays more than half the revenue gleaned by the advertising: “We contribute to our AdSense partners, to search pages, 51% of the revenue generated globally by targeted ads on searches that are broadcast through their activities” says the firm. So much for ads on search pages. For ads that are placed on content pages, the percentage is higher: “We donate 68% of revenue we collect from advertisers for AdSense ads that appear on the content of your site.”
The percentages have not changed since 2005 for the first and 2003 for the second, but Google does not change anything in this division: “Of course, we can not guarantee that revenue sharing will not change (our costs can change significantly, for example), but we have nothing planned in that” adds the site. The share of Google, that is 49 and 32% depending on the case, cover, according to the firm, cost management and service development.

The Mountain View company remains quiet on the revenue sharing versions of the service, such as Adsense for RSS feeds, or for mobile applications. “We do not disclose the revenue share for these products yet, because they are constantly changing, and we’re still evaluating the costs of their operation.”
These revelations comes from Google a few weeks after the Italian antitrust authorities have explored how the company shared the revenues of its advertising agency. Neal Mohan, vice president of product management at Google, talks on the sidelines of the publication of these figures a “sake of transparency” vis-a-vis its editors.

Thank you Google for both transparency. Google shares revenue visibly better in this respect, this is as honest deal. For advertising, it is rather a good rate. Neither more nor less!
